The Zilla (ZIP) platform is designed to increase the scalability of Etherium and based on sharding. The biggest advantage of the coin is the Zilliqa consensus protocol, thanks to which, as soon as a transaction is processed by the network, it becomes final and, therefore, confirmation is not required, unlike Ethereum and Bitcoin, which require multiple confirmations for each transaction.

As previously announced, the planned mainnet upgrade to version 9.2.0 is currently underway. The transactions to the network would be stopped at block 2,994,670 and the network upgrade would begin from the block number 2,994,688 onwards.

To Wallet Providers:
If you have not done so already, kindly suspend your mainnet deposit and withdrawal services until the upgrade has been successfully deployed to the network.

To Miners:
Please note that mining on the Zilliqa mainnet will be disabled while the network is being upgraded.

To Everyone:
Once the upgrade is complete, we will notify all partners and node operators and provide the new configuration files for download.
